Robert ‘Bob’ D. Halbur

Robert “Bob” D. Halbur, age 83, of Tomahawk, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022. Bob was born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., on April 23, 1938, to the late Edward and Irene (Smalark) Halbur. He was married to his first wife, Carol, in 1961; she passed away in 2012. He was later married to Andrea; she preceded him in death in 2021.

Bob proudly served in the United States Army as a paratrooper. After the military, he worked in construction for some time and later as an over-the-road truck driver for many years. In his younger years, Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and motorcycling. He loved spending time with his family, going to the casino, playing bingo, and was an avid cribbage player. Bob was a faithful member of the Well Church.

Survivors include his sons, Lawrence (Michelle “Mickey”) Jacobsen, and Scott Jacobsen; and his daughter, Pamela (Steve) Silvernale. Bob is further survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; his stepchildren, Chris (Nicole) Miller, Randy Miller, Dana (Sarah) Miller, Tina (Dennis) Halambeck, and Kimberly (Steve) Brown, in addition to many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and his special friends, Chris and Tammy Williams.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Irene; his first wife, Carol; his second wife, Andrea; his brother, Richard; and his sisters, Nancy Fiskum and Betty Meissner.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place at the Greenwood Cemetery in the Town of Bradley.
