Donna Mae Erickson, age 79, of Irma, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends at her home on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021.
Donna was born on July 28, 1942 in Rhinelander to George and Alice (Kolberg) Engle. She was married to Donald M. Erickson on Aug. 28, 1960 in Little Rock, Ark. Together, they had five children.
Donna loved to bowl and enjoyed trips to the casino. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She was known and loved by many people beyond her family, who lovingly called her “mom” and “grandma.”
Donna is survived by her children – Dorianne (James) Sowinski of Merrill, Diane Erickson of Merrill, Debra (Scott Platke) Baumann of Tomahawk, Denise (Derek) King of Tomahawk and Daniel (Rhonda) Erickson of Eagle River; two sisters – Sandra Blizzard of Merrill and Melody Neuman of Antigo. She is further survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and two sisters-in-law – Joann (Charlie) Towne and Gladys (Jim) Eternicka.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband – Don, grandson – Mikale Erickson, great-grandson – Coltyn McCoy, sister – Jule Wenzel and brothers – Chester, Francis, James, Lewis, Stanley and Alfred Engle.
The Funeral Service for Donna Erickson took place at Noon on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021 at Krueger Family Funeral Home in Tomahawk. Visitation took place at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 12 p.m. Burial followed in Bethany Cemetery, Irma.
