Tomahawk Leader, Leader Extra to combine into free publication beginning Nov. 3

By Multi-Media Channels

TOMAHAWK – Since the 1880s, the Tomahawk Leader has been the voice of the Tomahawk community – the best source for area information, events coverage, and high school sports. Multi-Media Channels (MMC) is proud to carry on that stewardship and will be expanding our coverage and circulation beginning next week.

MMC is happy to announce that the Tomahawk Leader will be combining with the Tomahawk Leader Extra and changing to a free publication.

This change will be effective beginning with our Nov. 3, 2021 issue.

Subscribers who live within the zip codes of 54487 (Tomahawk), 54435 (Gleason), 54442 (Irma), 54459 (Ogema), 54513 (Brantwood), 54529 (Harshaw), 54531 (Hazelhurst), 54532 (Heafford Junction), and 54564 (Tripoli) will no longer need to pay for a subscription – all homes within those zip codes will receive the Leader via U.S. Mail every week, completely free.

Homes in the zip codes shown on this map will receive the combined Tomahawk Leader and Leader Extra at no cost beginning next week. MMC photo.

The new Leader will contain all of the content previously found in the Tomahawk Leader and the Leader Extra, making one complete newspaper with all of the news and other coverage that you have come to expect from us.

As the way people consume news changes, so do we at MMC. We not only print our publications, but we also post on social media and provide daily updates on our websites. For this reason and others, MMC will convert the Leader and Leader Extra into a single, no-cost publication. This change will allow the entire community free access to the news and events that make Tomahawk a great place to live, work and play.
