To die with my boots on is optional

Dear Editor:

In response to Publisher Patrick J. Wood’s column query in last week’s paper, “How would you like to die?”, here’s my choice at age 82 (almost).

I’d choose to die in bed, at 90+, by gunshots fired by the jealous boyfriend of the young woman entertaining me. To die with my boots on is optional!

Truth about voter I.D. and the last election

This letter is in response to a letter from Walt Hobbs in the March 31 paper.

There is so much left wing misinformation in Mr. Hobbs letter I hardly know where to start. So I will concentrate on the last election integrity and leave the rest to some later letter.

President Trump and the rest of us republicans are not liars, and we are not lying about how the last election was run. I will compare how we in Lincoln County vote and how the vote went down in the last presidential election.

When I go to vote in my precinct I walk up to the desk. I state my name. I state my date of birth. The poll worker finds my info in the register book. I sign my name in the book. I show my picture I.D. with my signature on it. The poll worker compares my face to the I.D. card picture. She compares my signatures. If everything is correct then and only then she gives me a ballot. Compare this to how the last presidential election was conducted in other parts of the country.

Under the guise of covid 19, the government sent out millions and millions and millions of unsolicited ballots. The key word in that sentence Mr. Hobbs was unsolicited. Since voter rolls are very seldom updated, many people were getting multable ballots. Rolls still showed dead people and all the people who lived in those apartments in previous years. The present occupant fills out all the ballots. He then drops them off in a drop box or gives them to a democrat ballot harvester to drop off. All the voter has to do is sign the outside of the envelope. The horse is out the door. The stealing of the election has begun.

The poll worker opens the envelope with the signature on it. She throws the envelope aside and runs the ballot through the machine. The ballot and the signature can never ever be matched again. The steal is complete.

The only way this could have been corrected was to have all the unsolicited ballots thrown out and no court was willing to do that. Also on recounts, you could have recounts till hell froze over and they would all turn out the same. Just counting the same ballots over and over again.

The democrats say voter I.D. laws are voter suppression. All they suppress are illegal votes. When my wife and I voted a few weeks ago the poll worker caught a man trying to vote twice. That vote would have counted with unsolicited mail in voting.

P.S. And by the way. When the democrats were in power not a word about gerrymandering.

Also, our country is under attack from the democrat party trying to turn our country into socialism.
