Phillip D. Street

Phillip D. Street, age 82, of Tomahawk, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill, Wis., under the care of Ascension at Home Hospice. Phil was born in Tomahawk on Sept. 9, 1938, to the late Elmer and Wilma (Cummings) Street. He was married to Joyce Domaika on Dec. 4, 1965; she survives.

Phil graduated from Tomahawk High School. After graduation, he began employment at Owens-Illinois Paper Mill for a short time before leaving for the U.S. Navy. After serving our country, he returned to his hometown and worked at the paper mill, retiring after 48 years. He was most happy spending his time fishing, raking leaves, and putzing in the garage. He was an expert at taking things apart and putting them back together. In his spare time, he loved working on 3D puzzles and listening to old country music. Above all, Phil cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Street, of Tomahawk; two sons, Mark Street, of Tomahawk, and Brandon Street, of Michigan; two daughters, Marne (Sam) Shahin, of California, and Mandy (Nathan Gaedtke) Street, of Tomahawk; and his sister, Patricia (Ed) Besse, of Tomahawk. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Samantha, Issa, Isaiah, Spencer, Andy, Mark, Dakota, Tehya, Dawson, Cora, and Kayden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Wilma; his brothers, Jim, Bob, Larry, Roger, and Duane; and his sister, Audrey Jones.

Private family services will be held for Phillip Street. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in the spring. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory, Tomahawk, is assisting the family. View Phil’s obituary and leave online condolences at www.generationsfuneral.com.
