TOMAHAWK – This year’s Fall Fest in downtown Tomahawk on Saturday, Oct. 26, saw a “great turnout,” with around 650 to 700 trick-or-treaters and over 1,000 total attendees, stated Tomahawk Main Street Executive Director Aimee Dickrell.
Dickrell noted that participants of all ages were welcome to enjoy shopping and food downtown. Free activities, including cookie decorating at Strikers Tomahawk Bowl, with volunteers from the Tomahawk High School FCCLA, and face painting at The Old Towne Mall, with volunteers from the Tomahawk High School FBLA, were very popular among Fall Fest goers. Attendees also enjoyed free pumpkin painting at Pik’s Pub that was co-sponsored by Hank & Patty Tholl, Century 21 Best Way Realty and Trig’s, Dickrell added.
A showing of the movie “The Secret Life of Pets 2” at the Tomahawk Cinema, sponsored by Blair Otterholt – Edward Jones Financial Advisor, Century 21 Best Way Realty, and Main Attraction Hair Salon rounded out the free activities.
“I enjoy hearing comments from both local and non-locals on how impressed they are with the variety of stores and how well organized the Fall Fest event is,” Dickrell said. “Many play a part in making Fall Fest successful, from the beautiful fall themed decorations, to being host spots for activities and of course the volunteers that help prior as well as during. It couldn’t be done without everyone taking part.”
