Jeanette I. Lovsletten, Aug. 7, 1930 to Sept. 7, 2024.
Jeanette Lovsletten was born in Milwaukee to Herman and Ida (Hintz) Madlung. They later moved to the Skanawan area. She married Lawrence (Lover) Lovsletten on March 31, 1951. They lived in the Tomahawk area all their lives, and Jeanette worked in several office jobs. Jeanette and Lover owned the Varity Shop for several years.
Jeanette and Lover enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling. One of their favorite trips was to a camp area north of Eagle River to trout fish on the Elvoy Creek. For many years after they retired, they would travel south with their camper and spend time during the winter. After Lover passed away in 2003, she moved into an apartment and the past four years has been living at Country Terrace assisted living.
Jeanette is survived by her brother, Richard (Irene) Madlung of Menominee Falls. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lawrence, an infant daughter Sandy and brother, Ronald (Shirley) Madlung of Milwaukee.
The family is very grateful to the girls that work at Country Terrace for the wonderful way they took care of Jeanette. The Nurses from Moments Hospice were special in their care of Jeanette the last two weeks. Thank you to all of them.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Sept. 20, 2024 at Grace Lutheran Church, with Pastor Julie Sinkula officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to time of service at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
