TMS harriers take part in Marathon Invitational

MARATHON – Marathon hosted 15 schools for their Cross Country Invitational at Nine Mile Recreation Area on Thursday, Sept. 5. The Tomahawk Middle School boys and girls both moved up in the team standings with strong 4th-place finishes.  

Leading the way for the Hatchet scoring was 2nd-place medalist Charlee Lund with a time of 14:11 over the challenging two-mile course. 

Connor Zorn began his cross country career with a top-10 finish, leading the Hatchet boys across the line in 8th with a time of 14:32 

Other scorers for the hatchets were Kamron Ristau (15th), Lexi Palmer (16th), Leigha Vassar (23rd), Victoria Towle (25th), Hector Luna Perez (28th), Levi Cerkas (38th), Max Micke (40th), Chastin Dziura (42nd), Alyse Arndt (45th), Elaine Huber (47th), Tripp Tabbert (47th) and Lily Meurer (52nd). 

Other Hatchets supporting in the team standings included Alaina Stogbauer (58th), Allie Reiff (61st), Finn Childers (65th), Nora Bubolz (66th), George VanAsten (69th) Navaeh Mathis (69th), Korney Busterud (70th), Zach Scott (74th) and Eli Scott (75th).

This week’s action

The TMS runners will travel to Rhinelander High School on Thursday, Sept. 12, with the meet getting underway at 4:15 p.m.
