Oneida County to launch newly-integrated Human Services Department next year

For the Tomahawk Leader

ONEIDA COUNTY – Oneida County last week announced the upcoming launch of a newly-integrated county department.

Beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025, services of the Department of Social Services and the Human Services Center will offered through the Oneida County Human Services Department.

A release from Oneida County said county leadership determined that a single Human Services Department would benefit county residents “in many ways.”

“The goal of the integration is to connect residents to a broad array of programs by reducing barriers for service delivery,” the release stated. “The new structure ensures cross-agency collaboration designed to better meet clients’ needs and a ‘No Wrong Door’ model of customer service.”

The release said current clients and patients of the Human Services Center will receive “seamless and uninterrupted care with the new department.”
