Beverly J. Powers, age 84, of Tomahawk, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Friendly Village Rehabilitation and Care in Rhinelander, Wis. Bev was born in Wausau, Wis., on April 29, 1940, to the late Harold and Deborah (Block) Schultz. She was married to David Powers on Oct. 14, 1972; he passed away on April 12, 2023.
Bev was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed crocheting and other needlework and spent countless hours working on picture puzzles. She loved going to “Red Hat” outings with her sister-in-law, Judy, and was an animal lover who loved her German Shepherds, Smokey and Bailey. When able, Bev enjoyed the outdoors camping with her in-laws.
Survivors include her brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, Tony and Judy Powers and Greg and Nancy Powers, in addition to several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bev was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Deborah; her husband, David Powers; and her brothers, Jimmy Schultz and Dave Schultz.
Private graveside services for Beverly Powers will be held at the Prairie Rapids Cemetery in the Town of Nokomis.
