Student-made cheese slicers available in downtown Tomahawk

For the Tomahawk Leader

TOMAHAWK – Students in the Enterprise Wood Products class at Tomahawk High School (THS) recently partnered with The Cheese Shoppe in downtown Tomahawk to design and mass produce cheese slicers.

The product was developed after talking with Angie at The Cheese Shoppe about what her customers would be interested in. The students came up with the design on the CNC router, made a prototype, developed a cost-benefit analysis and mass produced the slicers after determining that it was a financially-prudent project.

Andrew and Brett produced 20 slicers that are currently for sale at The Cheese Shoppe, located at 120 W. Wisconsin Ave.
