Roger G. Luecke age 83 of Tomahawk, formerly of West Bend died Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Aspirus Hospital in Rhinelander. He was born October 23, 1940 in West Bend to William H. and Mabel B. (nee Bauer) Luecke.
On May 18, 1963 he was united in marriage to Joyce K. Wiedmeyer at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend. Joyce preceded him in death on August 23, 1994.
Roger worked in maintenance at Pick Manufacturing and M.A. Garrett before retiring in 2006. He then moved to Tomahawk where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating.
Roger is survived by his 4 children: Cindy (Jeff) Wenzel of Tomahawk, William (Stephanie) Luecke of Theresa, Lisa (Tim) Mayer of Rhinelander and James (Lakkana) Luecke of Windsor, seven grandchildren: Heather (Nicholas) Kelliher, Jessica (James) Leasum, Ryan (Kayla) Wenzel, Anthony Murre, Emily Murre, Rogitha Luecke and Darshani Luecke and seven great-grandchildren: Lillian, Chloe, Quinn, Alannah, Freya, Raelynn and Jackson. He is further survived by his siblings: Loris (Jay) Daley of Dover, NH, Lloyd Luecke of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and Betty (Dave) Hamann of Cedarburg, his brother-in-law Melvin Cardarelle of Sheboygan Falls, his sister-in-law Doroles (Roger) Stoffel of West Bend, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, his parents: William and Mabel, three sisters: Millie, Adelia (Dale), and Joan, Joyce’s parents: Tony and Lilly Wiedmeyer and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Skip and Carol Wiedmeyer, Lucy Cardarelle, Earl (Bud) Harper, Valerie Luecke and Bill Lutz.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park.
