A release from Marshfield Clinic said Samundsen has special interest in musculoskeletal medicine, along with preventative care and chronic disease management.

Samundsen cares for patients of all ages and helps adults with issues such as hypertension, diabetes and COPD.

“When he is with patients, Dr. Samundsen says one of his main goals is to make everyone feel comfortable,” Marshfield Clinic said.

“I don’t look like a typical physician, and I strive to create a non-judgmental environment where everyone can work on their medical issues without feeling degraded or embarrassed,” Samundsen stated.

Samundsen is a veteran of the U.S. Army who served before attending Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Ill. His dedication to veterans and military families continues to this day, Marshfield Clinic noted.

“I will always have a special interest in caring for veterans after caring for basic training soldiers, Cadre and active-duty soldiers, active-duty military families and retirees,” Samundsen said. “I particularly enjoy listening to and learning from the experiences of WWII and Korean War veterans.”

In his free time, Samundsen enjoys spending time with his three sons, along with football, hockey, boating and fishing.
