Robin L. Nylund

Robin L. Nylund, age 58, of Tomahawk, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, at the Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, Wis. Robin was born on Aug. 13, 1965, in Rhinelander, Wis., to Lonnie and Diana Nylund.

Robin attended the Rhinelander High School before moving to Texas and Arizona, and then back to Wisconsin. She was educated in the dental field at Nicolet College in Rhinelander and worked as a dental assistant. Robin was a devoted, loving mother to her two children and cherished time with them and adored her grandchildren. She had a witty sense of humor and enjoyed shooting pool, going on Harley rides with her husband, and loved her pets, especially her new German Shepherd, Rip. Robin was a talented cook, baker, and loved grilling. She enjoyed the outdoors skiing and fishing and enjoyed crocheting and running her online resale shop. Robin loved the Green Bay Packers, weekend travels, and she couldn’t be beat in cribbage or pool. Her motto was “Feel the fear and do it anyway” and lived by it every day. She will be greatly missed and always remembered.

Survivors include her father, Lonnie (Darlene) Nylund Sr.; her husband, Doug Brown; her son, Justin (Erin) Karpf; her daughter, Taylor Karpf; her grandchildren, Kaylee, Caiden, Keyan, Cailyn, Jadyn, Addison, Paige, Haley, and Lexi; her great-grandchild, Noava; her stepsons, Doug Jr., Chad, and Craig; her stepdaughters, Krissy (Mike) and Cheyanne; her brothers, Alex (Renee) Nylund and Lonnie Nylund; her sisters-in-law, Donda (Tom), Darlene, and Doreen; and her father-in-law, Dennis (Bev) Running. Robin was preceded in death by her mother, Di Nylund; her grandmother, Doreen Boxrud; her grandson, Nathan; and her father-in-law, Donald (Lois) Brown.

Robin requested a celebration of life to be held as opposed to a traditional funeral. The family requests all of Robin’s loved ones to join them in celebrating her beautiful life at Cabaret Cove, 1540 Pueblo Dr., in Rhinelander, on Saturday, April 13, 2024, beginning at 3 p.m. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
