Nicolet College announces Musky Seminar lineup

For the Tomahawk Leader

RHINELANDER – Details are in place for the Nicolet College Outdoor Adventure Program’s annual Musky Seminar.

The Musky Seminar will be held in the Northwoods Center on the Nicolet College campus, 5364 College Dr., Rhinelander, on Saturday, March 23 and Saturday, April 6.

A release from Nicolet said participants can attend one or both sessions. Ten different lessons are planned for the two-day seminar, plus a question and answer session at the end of each day.

“As in the past, we have changed the focus of our Musky Seminar lineup to keep things fresh and informative,” said Steve Heiting, Fishing Hall of Famer and the event’s lead presenter. “This year, we are focusing on patterns that are applicable to almost any Northwoods lake or stream.”

Heiting noted that a fishing pattern involves much more than the lure.

“A pattern involves as many variables as you can determine, and figuring out patterns is the key to being consistently successful on the water,” he stated.
