Nelda L. Jankowski, age 73, of Tomahawk, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, at Riverview Health Services. Nelda was born in Woodruff, Wis., on July 24, 1950, to the late Frank and Dorothy (Gilham) Lobermieir.
Nelda attended school in the Woodruff area. She entered the workforce holding various jobs before meeting her husband, Alan Jankowski. Nelda enjoyed bowling, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her son, Robby Jankowski; her daughters, Rhonda (David) Jankowski-Constantine, and Kelly Jankowski; her sisters, Mary Amant, Brenda Lobermieir, Dorothy Allen, and Karen Jacobson; her grandchildren, Ashton (Lexi) Jankowski, Keegan Terry, Tia Hoffman, and Kendra Jankowski; and her great-grandchildren, Emery Jankowski, Leilani Faust, and Allysandra Lopez. Nelda is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Dorothy; her husband, Alan Jankowski; her brothers, Craig, Randy, Gary, Henry, Glen, Jerry, Durant, and Frank Lobermieier; and her sisters, Cordele “DeeDee” Lehman, Sharon Lobermieier, Susan Lich, and Anna “Sally” Zimmer.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, at Generations Funeral Home, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Inurnment will take place at the Prairie Rapids Cemetery in the spring.
