Judith ‘Judy’ K. Fleming

Judith “Judy” K. Fleming, age 75, of Tomahawk, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024, at Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital. Judy was born on July 17, 1948, in Hammond, Ind., to the late Ralph and Ann Miller.

Judy grew up in Hammond, Ind., and attended elementary school in Hegewisch, a neighborhood in Chicago. She was a 1966 graduate of South Side High School. After high school, she married Mike Fleming on April 23, 1966, in Crown Point, Ind. They lived in Hammond for ten years before moving to Tomahawk in 1976. Judy worked as a waitress for both the Pine Tree and the Midget. She then worked at Our Place Assisted Living and later at Sacred Heart Hospital as an ERT/EMT for many years. Judy was a member of the motorcycle club, driving in the first years of the Tomahawk Fall Ride. She loved stamping, crocheting, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, and her great-great-granddaughter.

Judy is survived by her husband of over 57 years, Michael Fleming Sr.; her son, Mike (Tina) Fleming Jr.; her daughters, Kim (Erv) Bruesewitz, Carrie (Jeff Koth) Fleming, Michelle (Paul) Patrick, Kristina (Alby) Julo; and Dawn (Doug) Mattern; and her sisters, Sharon Greer, and Doreen (Walter) Lenckos. She is further survived by 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Ann; and her brother.
