Lincoln County Sheriff’s Report: Jan. 16, 2024

As reported by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday, Jan. 16:

On 01/09/2024 at approximately 16:30, a deputy was dispatched to the area of USH 51 and CTH S in the Town of Bradley for a reported hit-and-run crash. It was reported that a school bus with Lamers Bus Lines struck a Lincoln County Highway Dept. plow truck and failed to stop following the crash. The deputy was able to locate the bus with help from Lamers, and found that the driver Rosholt man, 68, was driving a school athletic team to a local event. The bus was passing the plow at the time and the busses passenger side mirror made contact with the plow wing. The bus sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported on the bus or the county worker.

On 01/10/2024 deputies and officers with the Merrill PD were dispatched to Branch 1 of the Lincoln County Courthouse in the City of Merrill for a Tomahawk woman, 25, that was upset and acting in a disorderly manner. The woman was taken into custody by the court security deputy and continued to be disorderly while waiting for other officers to arrive. Due to the woman’s behavior, she was detained at the courthouse until a female officer arrived on scene to conduct a search of her person. During that search, the officer found a small baggie with a white powdery substance hidden in her under garments. The woman was then transported to the Lincoln County Jail, where she was booked in for disorderly conduct and possession of meth amphetamine.

There were two reported car vs. deer crashes this week.
