TOMAHAWK – The Tomahawk Fire Department (TFD) is joining its counterparts from around the state and country by participating in a holiday-themed fire safety campaign.
The “Keep the Wreath Green” campaign runs throughout the month of December.
In a Facebook post, TFD explained that as part of the campaign, each time firefighters respond to a residential fire with damage, a green bulb on a wreath will be replaced with a red bulb to remind citizens of the dangers posed by fires in residential homes.
TFD’s wreath is hung on the fire station on N. Tomahawk Ave.
“Please have a safe month,” TFD stated. “Let’s work together to keep the wreath green.”
