Robert A. Helmrick, age 82, passed away peacefully at home under hospice care on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023. He was born Jan. 25, 1941 in the Town of Oasis, Waushara Co., Wis.; son of Arnold and Edna (Damrau) Helmrick. On Aug. 17, 1963, Bob married Lynda Alm at Nelsonville Lutheran Church and together through the years they raised three children, Philip, Peggy, and Evan. He will be dearly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
Bob is survived by his wife Lynda Helmrick of Plover; two sons Philip (Amy) Helmrick of Stevens Point and Evan (Lori) Helmrick of Almond; son-in-law Tim (Monica) Bauman of Hortonville; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sylvia Wahl of Appleton and Judith Swenson of Albuquerque, N.M.; a brother Douglas (Cynthia) Helmrick of Weslaco, Tex.; four nieces and six nephews; along with cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Edna Helmrick; parents-in-law Harold and Irene Alm; an infant son; and a daughter Peggy Bauman.
A Funeral Service for Bob will be on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Almond, Wis. Pastor David J. Sutton will officiate. A visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Almond at a later date.
