ROTHSCHILD – Bill Burcalow, Quartermaster of VFW Post 2687 in Tomahawk, recently presented Mike Thompson, co-founder and past President of the Never Forgotten Honor Flight, with a check for $7,500.00.
The donation, which was presented during the Veterans Weekly Cup-of-Coffee group meeting in Rothschild on Wednesday, Oct. 25, included $7,300.00 from Sew Pieceful Quilting in Tomahawk and $200.00 from the VFW.
The funds will be used to send 15 veterans on the “trip of a lifetime” to Washington, D.C., to see the memorials built in their honor.
