MERRILL – A Merrill product is among the finalists in the “Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin” contest.
Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce (WMC) and Johnson Financial Group announced the four finalists in the contest on Wednesday, Oct. 11. Among them is Weinbrenner Shoe Company’s Thorogood American Heritage Tobacco Safety Toe Work Boot.
Weinbrenner Shoe Company is headquartered in Merrill.
The Thorogood boot will go toe-to-toe with the Bevi Bottleless Water Dispenser, manufactured by Plexus Corp. in Neenah; Applewood Smoked Bacon, produced by Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Meats in Wittenberg; and the Ariens® 90th Anniversary Limited Edition Sno-Thro, made by AriensCo in Brillion.
The final round is a popular vote. Voting began on Thursday, Oct. 12, and individuals can vote once per day, per device, until 12 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19. The winner will be crowned at WMC’s Business Day in Madison later that day.
