VFW Auxiliary, STAR Foundation make ‘Our Dream Park’ donations

TOMAHAWK – Two local organizations recently made donations towards the revitalization of Washington Square Park on N. 4th St. in Tomahawk.

Wurl-Feind-Ingman VFW Post 2687 Auxiliary contributed $9,433.00 to Tomahawk Together, a group working to construct an all-inclusive playground, called Our Dream Park.

A total of $5,000.00 was donated by the STAR (Support Tomahawk Area Resources) Foundation.

In a pair for Facebook posts, Tomahawk Together thanked the organizations for their contributions.

To date, more than $130,000.00 has been raised for Our Dream Park via donations and grants.

The total cost of the park project is just over $2 million.

Tomahawk Together is currently working towards completing the park by next summer.
