TOMAHAWK – As members of American Legion Post 93 in Tomahawk, we proudly raise our flag as a sign of historic patriotism, fellowship and service.

As in the past, we continue to provide patriotic public ceremonies, fund and assist sports and scouting programs and provide funeral and gravesite honor services.

Our Legion Pub, Kilroy’s Klub, provides a family atmosphere for members and friends. It also provides free entertainment for local patrons and visitors. We have contributed to many local organizations and led patriotic events along with our Tomahawk VFW.

In 2022, we made a decision that we realized was imperative for reaching goals of membership growth, service continuity and public support. Looking ahead, we also knew that our building itself had serious renovation needs that had to be met in order to reach these goals.

Our building is 100 years old. We can honestly say – our roof was leaking and there was apparent structural damage in several areas. We strongly felt that we also needed improvements in several strategic areas: kitchen and serving area, restrooms and meeting space.

At the same time, we decided to improve our exterior area by creating additional outdoor dining and fellowship space.

Finnegan Construction was chosen to help put a renovation plan in effect. An architect was commissioned to design or redesign specific building areas. All of this meant a significant task was ahead for everyone involved. Renovation costs are expected to be $275,000.00.

To date, we have received significant assistance from a good working relationship with Crossroads Community Bank, as well as business, family and individual donations.  In addition, numerous fundraising events and projects are being conducted by our Legion and Auxiliary.

All of this has helped us meet the halfway point in renovation.

New and continued support from the Tomahawk community and surrounding area is essential for reaching full renovation plan success. We give thanks to our donors and remain committed to upgrading our organization to serve future generations.

Most importantly, we continue to proudly raise our American flag.
