Kinship purchases ‘new to us’ passenger van

For the Tomahawk Leader

TOMAHAWK – A recently-purchased passenger van will allow Tomahawk’s youth mentorship program to pick up children from school and take them on field trips.

Last month, Kinship of Tomahawk announced that it had purchased the “new to us” passenger van, which it will use to transport youth from school to the Kinship House for the organization’s after school KinsKlub Program.

“We also have several field trips lined up to take our teens to tour local businesses/industries in an effort to show our Kinskids how important a high school diploma is and what great opportunities are right in our own community to become a successful, self-supporting adult,” Kinship said in a Facebook post.

Kinship thanked Roger at Heritage Chevrolet for finding the van, Ryan at Printworx for wrapping it and Mary Jo at Tim Calhoun Insurance for insuring it.

“It is with great appreciation to our community, that truly supports our mission of providing mentoring opportunities to youth and families in our community, that we say ‘Thank you,’” Kinship stated. “Kinship of Tomahawk is truly blessed.”
