For the Tomahawk Leader

TOMAHAWK – In celebration of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce Month, the Tomahawk Regional Chamber of Commerce, throughout September, will shine a light on the services it provides to members and the community.

In a release, the Chamber said it “plays a vital role in making sure the Tomahawk area is a vibrant place to do business.”

“(The) Tomahawk Chamber is an advocate for all our members, and Wisconsin Chamber Month gives us the opportunity to recognize the value each of them brings,” the Chamber stated.

“It is an honor to represent the Tomahawk businesses and non-profits that define our community,” said Chamber Executive Director Sherry Hulett. “Chamber staff are constantly striving to promote and support the Tomahawk area for tourism, commerce and employment.”

City of Tomahawk Mayor Steve Taskay recently proclaimed September as Chamber of Commerce Month and acknowledged the efforts of the Tomahawk Regional Chamber of Commerce.

To celebrate Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce Month, the Tomahawk Chamber will be sharing trivia information on its Facebook page (www.facebook.com/tcocvc/).

The Chamber will host a Quitting Time Networking After 5 event, scheduled to be held at Floyd’s Timber Tavern, 433 S. Tomahawk Ave., on Wednesday, Sept. 20 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

“The Tomahawk Regional Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce – the state chamber – and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to recognize all our efforts at a local, state and national level,” the Chamber stated.

Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce Month is observed all September long and will include the Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce Executives Annual Conference to be held in Lake Geneva from Tuesday, Sept. 26 through Thursday, Sept. 28. Hulett will attend the conference.

To learn more about the conference, visit www.wmc.org/events/wcce-annual-conference-retreat/.
