Terry L. Scholz

Terry L. Scholz, 62, of Tomahawk, passed away Sunday, Aug. 13, 2023 at the Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital after a long and courageous nine-year battle with cancer.

Terry was born June 23, 1961 in Tomahawk, the daughter of Phillip Kleinfeldt and Janet (Jaecks) Rysdon. She was the oldest of three children. Terry was employed as a janitor at the Tomahawk School District for 19 years and dearly enjoyed all students and faculty that she served. She was a member of the Vineyard Church. Terry enjoyed working with her husband on the family farm raising chickens, beef cattle and pigs. She enjoyed watching the birds fill their bellies, campfires, fishing, gardening and canning. Terry was an exceptional baker, a cook who would leave your mouth watering and craving those meals for days. Her Faith was so strong and she would pray for anyone at the drop of a hat. She was a wonderful friend, an exceptional mother and would bend over backwards to help anyone. Her grandchildren held such a special place in her heart; she loved spending time with them doing crafts, telling stories, sharing the Love that God has for them, laughing and showering them with hugs and kisses.

She was united in marriage on Oct. 6, 1979 to Arthur Scholz and he preceded her in death Feb. 13, 2019. Surviving are her daughters, Christina (Todd) Copiskey; Jennifer (Matthew) Derleth; son, Eric Scholz; brother-in-law, Gerald “Jerry” Kottke; and four grandchildren, Caden, Alison, Avery and Emmett.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Jane Kleinfeldt; husband of 40 years, Arthur; sister, Lisa Kottke; and a brother, Carl Kleinfeldt.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 18, 2023 at Northwoods Vineyard Church, Tomahawk, with Pastor Ross Nelson officiating. Visitation was held from 9 a.m. to time of services at church. Burial followed at Spirit Falls Cemetery. Krueger Nimsgern Funeral and Cremation Service cared for the family. You may view the obituary and share online condolences at www.kruegerfamilyfuneral.com.
