WIS 107 to close at Joe Snow Creek crossing through end of August

LINCOLN COUNTY – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), on Wednesday, Aug, 9, announced that WIS 107 in Lincoln County will be closed at the Joe Snow Creek crossing from Friday, Aug. 11 through Thursday, Aug. 31 due to bridge structure repairs and pavement improvements.

The Joe Snow Creek crossing is located roughly 4.2 miles north of WIS 64.

While the bridge is closed, traffic will be detoured via WIS 64, U.S. 51 and County Rd. J.

The work is part of a construction project on WIS 107 that began on Monday, July 31. As part of the project, crews will replace the culvert pipes 0.6 miles north of Eggert Dr. and 0.2 miles north of Rock Falls Dr.

Along with structure repairs and pavement improvements to the bridge over Joe Snow Creek, a bridge structure replacement and pavement replacement at Skanawan Creek will also take place.

The WIS 107 project is slated to be completed by October.

“The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress,” WisDOT stated.
