LINCOLN COUNTY – The Lincoln County Health Department (LCHD) will host a pair of community sessions to gather public input on the Lincoln County Community Health Assessment and Improvement Plan.

LCHD and Live Well Lincoln partners have been working on the Lincoln County Community Health Assessment and Improvement Plan over the last year and are in the final steps of the process, according to a release from LCHD.

“This is a five-year roadmap for improving health and well-being for all Lincoln County residents that summarizes priority areas in order to guide action and collaboration among community organizations and members,” LCHD stated.

The plan provides an overview of health indicator data, current health challenges and existing assets and resources. It also outlines a collaborative plan for addressing top health concerns for Lincoln County.

LCHD said the plan’s priority areas include promoting mental health and emotional well-being, supporting healthy lifestyles and bolstering community-centered resources for the county’s age 55-and-older population.

In an effort to gain insight into solutions that gets LCHD closer to achieving those goals, LCHD will host two Community Conversations later this month – one in Merrill, and another in Tomahawk.

“Your feedback will help us as we implement our health plan,” LCHD stated.

The Merrill session will be held at T.B. Scott Free Library, 106 1st St., on Monday, Aug. 21 from 11 a.m. to noon. To join the session virtually, visit www.meet.google.com/pmy-kgmp-erm .

The Tomahawk session will be held at Incredible Bank, 1218 N. 4th St., on Wednesday, Aug. 23 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. To join the session virtually, visit www.meet.google.com/mmf-afnk-mzm.

“We invite you to actively support the Lincoln County Health Plan,” LCHD said.
