Jerry John Jagmin

With heavy hearts, we announce Jerry John Jagmin, 63, Tomahawk, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 24, 2023 at his home. He was born Dec. 5, 1959 to Harry and Florence (Socha) Jagmin. Jerry graduated from Edgar High School in 1978. On Aug. 29, 1981 he married the love of his life, Nancy Manecke. Jerry retired from the Lincoln County Highway Department after 25 years of service as the Superintendent and Highway Commissioner.

Jerry was the best grandpa, husband, dad and friend. He loved spending time with family, friends, and especially his grandchildren. He had a passion for fishing, hunting, cooking, a good cup of coffee, growing the best garden, and sharing jokes with his grandkids. He was a hero to his grandkids and was always helping them work on projects in the garage. He will always be remembered for his distinct laugh you could hear across the room, his sense of humor, and his big heart.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Nancy (Manecke) Jagmin and two daughters: Jamie (James) Johnson and Mindy (James) Sowatzke. His four grandchildren he loved so much: Cayden, Autumn, Lucas, and Joyce. He was also survived by his four sisters: Julia (Joe) Swada, Lenora (Jerry) Kasdorf, Sue Jagmin, and Diane Truman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Florence (Socha) Jagmin.

The Memorial Service for Jerry Jagmin was held on Monday, July 31, 2023, 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church. The family received friends at the church on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Krueger Family Funeral Home, Tomahawk, assisted the family.
