Display at Tomahawk Public Library highlights Four Rivers Quilt Guild

For the Tomahawk Leader

TOMAHAWK – The Tomahawk Four Rivers Quilt Guild’s display at the Tomahawk Public Library provides information about the group and showcases some of the group’s work.

New members are always welcome to join, and donations of fabric and money are appreciated. The group meets at Grace Lutheran Church on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.

The Tomahawk quilters share knowledge and learn about quilting by taking part in classes, demonstrations and challenges. Members also have fun on retreats and field trips, as well as at seasonal parties.

The group gives back to the community through a variety of service projects. From June through Dec. 2022, the Four Rivers Quilt Guild made and donated 200 walker bags to area healthcare facilities, 77 children’s bags to area hospice organizations, 42 stuffed animals for children, 22 quilts to HAVEN and the Salvation Army, 59 pillowcases to care facilities, eight sets of refreshment panels and covers for a local care facility, 12 catheter bags and seven fidget blankets.
