TOMAHAWK – The City of Tomahawk is slated to purchase new election equipment.

During the City of Tomahawk Finance Committee’s meeting at City Hall on Tuesday, July 25, City Clerk/Treasurer Amanda Bartz explained that Lincoln County’s election equipment is obsolete. A committee, under the purview of the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office, was tasked with reviewing available equipment and selecting the county-wide replacement equipment.

The county selection and review committee ultimately selected equipment from the company Express Vote. Bartz noted that the equipment is the next generation of the machines currently in use in the county.

The Finance Committee unanimously approved the purchase of the equipment, which carries a price tag of $4,074.75.
