William J. Giacchino

William J. Giacchino, age 76, affectionately known as “Chino,” passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023 at his home in Hazelhurst under the care of Compassus Hospice and his son, Eric.

Chino was born Aug. 20, 1946 in Pennsylvania to Damion and Kada (Kursel) Giacchino. He had been an auto mechanic in the Milwaukee area and had retired to the Skunk Lake area of Hazelhurst many years ago. He loved the peace and tranquility of the Northwoods and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends. Chino was an avid gun collector and gunsmith.

Chino is survived by his son, Eric (Lisa) Giacchino of Vancouver, Wash.; two daughters, Kathrine Giacchino and Brittany Esser. He is further survived by three grandchildren, Revel, Sophia, and Isabel. He also leaves behind his faithful German Shorthaired Pointer, Bullet.
