Jerry B. Rooni

Jerry B. Rooni, age 66, of Brantwood, Wis., passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023, in Tomahawk, surrounded by his family under the care of Compassus Hospice. Jerry was born on Feb. 11, 1957, in Tomahawk, to the late Hugo and Marie (Majerus) Rooni.

He was a logger most of his life and also worked as a mechanic. He had fun working on model cars, regular cars, or anything with a motor and enjoyed going to car shows and to the races, especially to watch his son-in-law. Jerry loved summers, four wheeling, fishing, riding on his side by side, and drinking some Milwaukee’s Best. He enjoyed mowing his lawn, motorcycling, campfires, and listening to music, most of all rock & roll.

Jerry liked sharing his memories and stories from his younger years and was a friend to all, just like his dad, Hugo. He lived in the moment and enjoyed every minute. He was truly the life of the party. Jerry loved when all three of his girls were together with him. They were his pride and joy and it always made him so happy. He loved being with his family and friends, was the best dad, grandpa, and kindest man. If you knew him, you loved him.

Jerry is survived by his children, Jennifer Rooni (Camron), Nicole (Cody) Kummer, and Mackenzie (Jacob) Domaika; his wife, Heather Rooni; his siblings, Jim (Kate) Rooni, Sid (Sandy) Lokken, and Susie (Steve) Hinsa.

He is further survived by his grandchildren, Tyler, Trenton, Leighton, and Olivia. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Hugo and Marie; his brothers, Tom Lokken and Dave Lokken; and his sister-in-law, Marge Lokken.

A celebration of life for Jerry Rooni will be held at the Brantwood Community Center at a future date and will be announced at that time.

“We will miss you so much and love you forever.” Generations Funeral Home & Crematory, Tomahawk, is assisting Jerry’s family.
