RHINELANDER – Fourteen individuals recently graduated from the Cosmetology program at Nicolet College in Rhinelander.

In a release, Nicolet said the event marked the culmination of the students’ “rigorous training and the beginning of their careers in the beauty industry.”

“We are incredibly proud of the graduates of the Cosmetology class of 2023,” said Marie Stott, Head Instructor of the Cosmetology program. “They’ve demonstrated an unwavering commitment to their craft and have shown tremendous growth throughout their journey. All of them have mastered the latest techniques, trends and practices in the Cosmetology field. We have every confidence that they will achieve remarkable success in their careers.”

Nicolet said the graduates are now eligible to take the Wisconsin Cosmetology License Examination. Upon receiving a license, graduates will be ready for employment in a variety of positions in barbershops or salons.

“During their course of study in the 39-credit technical diploma program, the graduates learned a wide variety of skills that included basic and advanced hair cutting and styling, adding texture and color to hair, nail and skin care, salon science, shaving and communication skills,” Nicolet stated.

“With a curriculum that emphasizes hands-on experience, industry knowledge and the latest trends, these graduates are ready to become trailblazers in the field and enjoy successful careers as they move into the next chapter of their lives,” Stott said.

The next start date for the year-long Cosmetology program is Tuesday, Sept. 5.
