Effie M. Edwards, age 89, formerly of Tomahawk, passed away on Dec. 11, 2022 at Country Terrace in Stanley.
Effie was born on Sept.30, 1933 in Tomahawk to Ernest and Faithe (Richmyre) Hodge. She was married to Orville Edwards on June 23, 1956 in Zion, Ill. In 1969, after the death of her husband, Effie came back to live in Tomahawk. Effie was a faithful member of the Berean Baptist Church, Tomahawk.
Effie is survived by brother and sisters – Larry Hodge, Laura Schneeberger, Violet Moore and Norma Samuelian; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son – Neal Edwards and brother – Gordon Hodge.
The Funeral Service for Effie Edwards will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the Krueger Family Funeral Home, Tomahawk. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Immediately following the service, Effie will be buried in Greenwood Cemetery.
