LINCOLN COUNTY – At the Tuesday, April 18 Lincoln County Board of Supervisors meeting, the board unanimously approved the adoption of a vision statement and branding.

The vision statement reads as follows:

“Lincoln County will preserve the unique characteristics and resources that make it an exceptional place to live, work, and play; we will work together, holding ourselves and each other accountable, to weave the fabric of community and provide opportunity to our citizens.”

The board also adopted the following branding:

“Lincoln County – Where the Northwoods Start and the Adventure Begins.”

This marks the first time Lincoln County has had a developed and articulated vision statement and branding.

On Jan. 31, the board and other community members participated in a facilitated process during which they developed the Lincoln County vision statement to help them “develop a future desired state.”

The Administrative and Legislative Committee then met on March 21 to discuss the recommended statement and made a few minor changes to develop the final wording.

Articulating a vision statement for Lincoln County definitively will help the Board “guide the decision making process to best allocate resources in a manner that aligns with operations of the County with that vision” the resolution said.

The branding statement, or tagline, for Lincoln County helps direct future strategic planning and marketing of Lincoln County, according to the resolution.
