Verhasselt named Lincoln County Director of Emergency Management

LINCOLN COUNTY – Tyler Verhasselt has been appointed to the position of Lincoln County Director of Emergency Management.

Verhasselt previously served in the United States Air Force for 15 years and made six combat deployments overseas. He also served as a police officer in southwest Wisconsin.

Most recently, he served as Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the Joint Security Operations Center in the Middle East, where he spearheaded a joint task force with special operations from U.S. Air Force Central Command (AFCENT) to provide a quick reaction force and air-to-ground support during the 2020 Iranian Crisis.

His actions received recognition from U.S. Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC), which awarded him the SSgt. Todd “TJ” Lobracio Award for Excellence and his second U.S. Air Force Commendation Medal.

In addition to Verhasselt’s military and law enforcement experience, he brings to the role Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees in criminal justice and a Master’s degree in management – public administration.
