MERRILL – A Tomahawk man facing four felony charges related to child sexual assault will go to trial this summer.

Wagner

Glenn C. Wagner, 93, appeared in Lincoln County court on Thursday, March 30. According to court records, Wagner’s attorney, John Zich, indicated he would file demand for a speedy trial. Under State statutes, the trial of a defendant charged with a felony must begin within 90 days from the date trial is demanded by any party in writing or on the record.

Wagner is charged with felony counts of first degree child sexual assault, repeated sexual assault of the same child, child enticement and exposing genitals to a child.

Wagner was arrested on Tuesday, March 7 as part of a Tomahawk Police Department investigation into incidents of sexual assault that reportedly occurred at a private property near Birchwood Ave. in the City of Tomahawk.

The offenses occurred on June 1, 2018, according to court records.

The Tomahawk Police Department earlier this month said several other victims have been identified, and the department is “seeking additional information regarding those incidents and victims.”

Wagner’s five-day jury trial is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 26.
