K Arthur Lorenzen

K Arthur Lorenzen, 90 of Tomahawk, passed away on March 22, 2023, in Fond du Lac, Wis. He was born in Tripoli, Wis., the third child of Arthur and Elsie Lorenzen. As a child he enjoyed anything outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing, or any type of sports. K graduated from Tomahawk High School in 1949 where he was a multi-letter athlete. After serving in the army during the 1950s, he moved to Milwaukee where he met his wife, Carolyn. Injuring his finger while working at a box factory, he sought a doctor’s care, and the “prettiest nurse he ever saw” took care of him. They were married May 23, 1959, in Milwaukee.

A few years and three children later, the family moved to Fond du Lac where they had one more child and where K opened an American Family Insurance office serving as an agent for 31 years. He was a proud member of Ducks Unlimited, Whitetails Unlimited, Ruffed Grouse Society (to name a few), and collected wildlife prints for many years. K played and served as both sponsor and manager on multiple softball teams in St. Cloud and Fond du Lac which helped keep him young. So young that he even played on a senior team in Mesa, Ariz., during snowbird visits when he was in his seventies.

After retiring, K and Carolyn moved to a home on Lake Nokomis in Tomahawk. Both considered these the happiest years of their lives. They enjoyed hosting children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren along with numerous friends and family members whenever they could. They were proud members of Tomahawk’s Redeemer Lutheran Church and rarely missed a service. They were so happy to have found such a welcoming church family.

K is survived by: daughter Lisa (Christos) Theo – their children Antony (Hailey) Theo, Christos (Gina) Theo, Joseph Theo (Elizabeth); son Kurt Lorenzen; son Brian Lorenzen – his children Kyle Lorenzen, Brianna (Ryan) King and their children Easton and Bryson King, Aaron Lorenzen; Lynda (Corey) Parman –their children Payton (Austin) Meulemans and Rylie Parman (Parker).
