Paul H. Marheine, age 82, formerly of Brantwood, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the Veteran’s Home in King.
Paul was born on Aug. 16, 1940 in Brantwood to Walter and Alice (Collette) Marheine. Paul served with the U.S. Marine Corps until his honorable discharge in 1962. The following year, he was married to June Abrahamson on Aug. 31, 1963 in Tomahawk. He worked several jobs and finally retired from WPS. Paul was proud to be a Marine. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), RATS, American Legion and Marine Corp League. Paul was able to go on the Badger Honor flight. Paul’s favorite time of year was when he could play Santa Claus with June as Mrs. Claus.
Paul is survived by his wife – June Marheine; children – Jack Marheine of Arena, Wis.; Donna (Ron) Boyes of Madison, Wis.; Kelly (Mike) Christensen of Arena, Wis.; grandchildren – Becky Hansen, Jenna Christensen, and Emma Christensen; brothers – Richard (Betty) Marheine and Jerry (Lorna) Marheine; sisters-in-law – Judy (Chuck) Fischer, Donna Abrahamson, Darlene Marheine and Maureen Marheine; brother in-law – Richard Boisvert; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his mother – Alice Marheine; father – Walter Marheine; sister – Louise Grubbs; brothers – Fred, Ed and Ted Marheine; mother in-law – Helen Abrahamson; father In-law – Orville Abrahamson; numerous sisters and brothers-in-law.
The Memorial Service for Paul Marheine will take place at 11 a.m. on April 1, 2023 at Krueger Family Funeral Home, Tomahawk. Visitation will take place from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Burial will take place in Spirit in the springtime.
