Leo Pintens, age 88, of Harrison, passed away at Tomahawk Aspirus Hospital on Feb. 21, 2023.

Leo was born on July 8, 1934 in Harrison to Leo A. and Marie (Schoone) Pintens. Leo was married on April 14, 1956 in St. Augustine Catholic Church to Louise Cannon. Together in Harrison, they ran their household on their dairy farm. Leo enjoyed dairy farming and, most of all, cutting firewood. He also was a mason and a carpenter, was a milk delivery truck driver for Harrison cheese factory. Leo enjoyed hunting, fishing, tobogganing, downhill and cross country skiing and swimming. Leo loved his family and his dogs, too.

Leo is survived by his children – James (Rosetta) Pintens of Sinton, Tex., Diane (Larry Peters) Murphy of Tomahawk, Connie (Mark) Roberts of Rhinelander, Bernadette (Paul) Albert of Tomahawk and Elizabeth Pintens of Tomahawk; and his sister – Johanna Amelse of Merrill. He is further survived by 21 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife – Louise Pintens, daughters – Angela and Cheryl, grandson – Cody and great grandson – Bentley.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Leo Pintens took place at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, 2023 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Visitation took place on Sunday evening at the Krueger Family Funeral Home, Tomahawk, from 4 p.m. until the time of Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation continued on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. Leo will be buried in St. Augustine Cemetery in Harrison in the springtime.
