TOWN OF LITTLE RICE – A Beloit man was killed in a head-on snowmobile crash in the Town of Little Rice on Friday, Feb. 24.
According to a release, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of the collision on Kelly Dam Rd., just north of Old 8 Rd., at approximately 6:59 p.m.
Upon arrival of emergency personnel on the scene, David Haseman, 55, of Beloit, was pronounced dead.
The other operator was transported to Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is completing the accident report.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Little Rice Fire Department and First Responders, the Nokomis Fire Department, DNR, the Oneida County Ambulance Service and the Oneida County Medical Examiner’s Department.
