Tomahawk-area woman, 85, killed in two-car crash at U.S. Hwy. 8, Tannery Rd.

TOWN OF BRADLEY – A Tomahawk-area woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the Town of Bradley on Thursday, Feb. 9.

A release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said a call reporting the crash at the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 8 and Tannery Rd. was received at 4:03 p.m. Crews from the Sheriff’s Office, the Tomahawk Fire Department and Tomahawk EMS responded to the scene.

According to the release, a vehicle operated by Jean Clarice Streicher, 85, of the Tomahawk area, was traveling northbound on Tannery Rd. when her vehicle was struck by a vehicle occupied by two people traveling westbound on U.S. Hwy. 8.

Streicher was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other two parties were transported to Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital and later released, the release said.

Other responding crews included the Merrill Fire Department (EMS), the Lincoln County Coroner, Ingman’s Towing and Rod’s Towing Service.

The Wisconsin State Patrol was requested to assist with the crash reconstruction. The incident remains under investigation.
