League of Women Voters offering Vote411 resource for upcoming elections

NORTHERN WISCONSIN – The League of Women Voters is offering information on candidates in upcoming elections via the Vote411 Voter’s Guide.

The guide, which allows voters to compare candidate responses to questions, can be found at www.Vote411.org.

Information on candidates running in the Tuesday, Feb. 21 Primary Election is now available.

The League of Women Voters of the Northwoods (LWVNOW) said it will invite all local candidates to participate in the Voter’s Guide for the Tuesday, April 4 Spring Election, which will be available Wednesday, March 1.

To be featured in the Voter’s Guide, candidates can contact LWVNOW at [email protected]g before Wednesday, Feb. 15.

Along with viewing candidate information, voters can visit www.Vote411.org to register to vote, check voter registration status, find a polling place, request an absentee ballot and learn who and what will be on local ballots.

The LWVNOW encompasses Florence, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Oneida and Vilas counties. The local league belongs to the state and national League of Women Voters, a “non-partisan organization devoted to helping members and fellow citizens develop educated political opinions and act upon them through the democratic process.” The league’s monthly meetings and sponsored events are open to all.
