Austin M. Eastman, 17, the very special child of CheyeAnn (Shawn) Carstensen and Brian Michael, passed away at his home under the care of Compassus Hospice surrounded by his family.

Austin was born Oct. 8, 2005 in Osceola, Wis. At an early age he was diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic disorder. He loved the water, boat rides, music, and his pet birds in his room. Most of all Austin loved to play and wrestle with his four brothers.

Austin Eastman is survived by his mom and stepdad, CheyeAnn and Shawn Carstensen; his dad, Brian Michael; four brothers, Zach, Aydin, Landyn, and Xander; stepbrother, Blake; and stepsisters, Brittany and Tasha. He is also survived by maternal grandparents, Joann and Danny Eastman of Luck, Wis.; paternal grandparents, Beth and Rick Bibeau, Fort Myers, Fla.; Cindy and Eric Bloom, and Lori and Art Michael of Freemont, Mich.; step-grandfather, Lawrence Carstensen of Tomahawk; and great-grandmothers, Kay Michael of Michigan, Mary Ann Larson of Luck, Wis., and great grandma Bloom.

The Funeral Service for Austin Eastman was held Saturday, Jan. 28, at 4 p.m. at Krueger Family Funeral Home, Tomahawk. Hospice Chaplain Michele Rein officiated. Austin’s family received friends at Krueger Family Funeral Home Saturday from 2 p.m. until the time of services at 4 p.m. Krueger Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services assisted the family with arrangements.
