Compassus offering monthly grief support groups in northcentral Wisconsin

NORTHERN WISCONSIN – Compassus, a leading national provider of innovative home-based care services, including home health, infusion therapy, palliative, and hospice care, is offering free monthly grief support groups in northcentral Wisconsin.

Support groups will be held in Eagle River, Minocqua, Rhinelander and Merrill.

“The loss of a significant person in one’s life is difficult,” Compassus said in a release. “Compassus’ grief support groups for family and friends address ways to cope. Compassus’ caring professionals teach what to expect, how to cope with grief and personal techniques to assist individuals and their loved ones.”

The support groups, open to any adult experiencing grief as a result of losing a loved one, will be held according to the following schedule:

  • First Thursday of every month: Walter E. Olson Memorial Library, 203 N. Main St., Eagle River, 1 p.m.
  • Second Thursday of every month: Minocqua Public Library, 415 Menominee St., Minocqua, 1 p.m.
  • Third Thursday of every month: Oneida County Department on Aging, 100 Keenan St., Rhinelander, 1:30 p.m.
  • Fourth Thursday of every month: Merrill Enrichment Center, 303 N. Sales St., Merrill, 1:30 p.m.
