Jeffrey “Jeff” A. Strassman, age 61, of Tomahawk, passed away on Monday, Dec. 26, 2022, at Mt. View Health Care Center in Wausau, Wis. Jeff was born on April 14, 1961, in Portage, Wis., to John and Carolyn (Kenkkila) Strassman.

Jeff was a lifelong resident of Tomahawk and a 1979 graduate of Tomahawk High School. He entered the workforce, beginning his career at Tomahawk Sports Center and later worked for the City of Tomahawk until his hard-earned, early retirement. Jeff enjoyed being in the woods and was an excellent logger who could fall a tree like no other. He was a talented mechanic, learning the trade from his mentor, best friend, and father, Jack. He loved puttering in the garage, working on cars and vintage snowmobiles, was an avid gun collector and jack of all trades, and enjoyed cooking and sharing recipes with his mom and friend, Carolyn. Jeff was a devoted Minnesota Vikings fan, a trait his daughters are proud to carry on. He was an animal lover who welcomed the countless strays his daughters would bring home and held a special place in his heart for his fur buddy, Milo, whom was never far from his side. Jeff graced those around him with his infectious laugh, his wonderful sense of humor, and love and respect he held for his family. His coffee and conversations shared with his sisters and brothers-in-law will surely be missed. Jeff and his family were extremely proud of him reaching over a year of sobriety and his memory will live on through his children and grandchildren as well as a host of friends and loves ones. Jeff will be greatly missed by his family and friends. They will always keep his memory alive and carry him in their hearts.

Survived include his daughters, Myranda (Codi Jordan) Strassman and Chanell (Garrett) Nutter; his grandchildren, Olivia Nutter, Mia Jordan, and Jace Nutter; his parents, Carolyn and Jack Strassman; his siblings SueAnn (Matthew) Omdahl and Carrie (Michael Wendland) Strassman; and his ex-wife, Sandra Lundmark (Brown). Jeff is further survived by his nieces and nephews and his fur buddy, Milo. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gregory and John Strassman; his grandparents, Dorothy and Julius Strassman, and George and Lempi Kenkkila; his grandchild, rainbow baby Nutter; and his great-nephew, Sonny Pepper, in addition to all his fur buddies he loved dearly.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory, Tomahawk, is assisting the family. You may view Jeff’s obituary and leave online condolences at www.generationsfuneral.com.
