LINCOLN COUNTY – This year, the Four Rivers Quilt Guild of Tomahawk handmade over 600 items – pillowcases, walker and catheter bags, children’s bags and critters, fidget blankets and quilts – to give to members of the community, and guild members recently distributed items made for the holiday season.
Staff with Riverview Health Services, Country Terrace of Wisconsin, Tomahawk Health Services and Milestone Senior Living Center received pillowcases and walker bags for residents.
The Salvation Army of Tomahawk received children’s bags to distribute to families, and 20 quilts were donated to Haven Inc. in Merrill.
The Four Rivers Quilt Guild meets the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 9 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. New members are always welcome. The guild has supported the area with their sewing skills since 1995.
