E. Marty Jones, 67, of Tomahawk, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Tomahawk Health Services.
Marty was born March 17, 1955 in Tomahawk to Eugene and Harriette (Bergeson) Jones. He married Gail Grossich on Aug. 21, 1990 in Madison. Marty graduated from Tomahawk High School in 1973 and later joined the U.S. Air Force. He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant following 33 years in the Air Force and Air National Guard. He was a ground power equipment specialist and worked on F16s for many years in Madison, Wis. Following retirement, Marty and Gail moved back to Tomahawk in 2014.
Surviving Marty Jones are his wife, Gail; stepdaughter, Linda Coey of Middleton, Wis.; and three sisters, Lori Winker, Char (Fran) Pflum, all of Tomahawk, and Lila (Ken) Dumar of Rhinelander. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jeff Jones.
